Ladies Lunch Out : The Sunday Luncheon Chronicles Part 3

Tres marias.

It was just me, my mom, and my tita. Scouring the mall for a good lunch. Then suddenly . . . Ping! Lightbulb moment! We had just passed by a native Filipino resto, and a crowd favorite, Chikaan sa Cebu.

Just because we were all ladies doesn't mean we ate in a pinch! Haha. Here is concrete proof.

-Garlic Rice : Classic fried rice infused with garlic bits.
-Chicharong Bulaklak (Deep Fried Pork Mesentery) : Golden brown pieces of pork mesentery (lining or fold of the stomach) shaped like a flower and served with light vinegar on the side.
-Grilled Chorizo de Cebu : Filipino-style chorizo grilled to perfection.
-Clam Soup : Fresh clams in a light, flavorful soup.
-Sizzling Squid ala Pobre : A piece of grilled squid in a sizzling platter topped with the most delicious barbeque sauce.
-Banana Langka Turon with Latik (Deep Fried Banana and Jackfruit Rolls) : Sweet and ripe slices of banana and jackfruit rolled in crispy lumpia wrapper, deep fried, and topped with "latik", or the caramelized coconut milk residue.
-Arnold Palmer Iced Tea : Defininitely one of the best tasting iced teas in Cebu.

Oh yeah, the ladies rocked the house, and the Table 4 that day! Haha.
